South Africa won the three-match series 2-0 after the third and final T20I against Pakistan was abandoned due to rain on Saturday, December 14, at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. (More Cricket News)

Match officials waited two hours after the scheduled late-afternoon start before abandoning the game without a ball bowled due to rain and lightning. This was South Africa's first bilateral series victory since August 2022.

The teams begin a three-match one-day international series on Tuesday in Paarl, followed by two tests.

South Africa had already secured the series with wins in the first two T20Is, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead. A sparkling century from opener Reeza Hendricks, his first in T20Is, and Rassie van der Dussen's unbeaten 38-ball 66 were the cornerstones of the hosts' victory in the second game, as they chased down a 207-run target with seven wickets to spare in 19.3 overs.
